James R. Parker, MD

Dr. James Parker is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and graduated from Hereford High School in 1988. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he received a Bachelor of Biology degree. Dr. Parker received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas in 1996. He stayed in Houston and trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center for his internship and residency.

Dr. Parker is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Texas Orthopedic Association, the Texas Society of Sports Medicine and the Potter-Randall County Medical Society.

Dr. Parker is very involved in the local community. He is a team physician for West Texas A&M University and serves as team physician for several area high schools. He enjoys traveling, playing soccer and reading.
